Komical: Roger's Birthday/Dance Party

HAPPY BIRTHDAY ROGER!
Roger, Tiffany and their three munchkins came down from Colorado Springs to be with me as I went through the Temple for the first time. Well lucky for us we also get to celebrate Roger's birthday with him. We ate Strawberry Short-Cake, surprised him with a Kindle, and then all played Just Dance on the Wii.
Rylee, Ryan, Maggie, Roger, Brigham, Kade, and Michael.
Maggie and Briggs were both smiling as we sang Happy Birthday to Roger, because they had just celebrated their Birthday's, and thought we were singing to them again. Isn't that so cute!!! Look at the grins on their faces. I just love it.
Trying to keep all of the kids happy watching a movie.

I think Roger may be bluffing from this spicy card from Tiffany.
Rogers Kindle. I think Tiffany actually surprised him this time.
These next few pictures are going to make you ROFL! Ha ha look at these two manly men doing Michael Jackson's Thriller on Just Dance for the Wii. LOL This is a night I will never forget. Thanks guys for the comical relief.
Tiffany ROCKED it of course, so it was not fun playing against her because she put us all to shame.
...Roger held his own, and my Dad, well he just looked cute.
I love how all 3 are doing something different
I think this one is my favorite
...or is it this one... LOL, anyways, we need to do this again.
Hahahahahahaha.
Little Michael joined in too, he was awesome!
Guess the score that goes to each player...
Red: Roger
Green: Dad (snicker)
Purple: Tiffany of course
Natalie, me, and Tiffany.
Don't laugh I already know I can't dance.
Actually, I must admit in all of these pictures it looks like all 3 of us are doing the same thing. Us Thornburg Girls are Unstoppable.

Little Kade started busting a move on the couch. I love you Kademan.
Shake it Kade!
Tonight was a blast. Hope we can all come together again soon.

Komplete Life Makeover!

There is not a day that goes by that I don't think about the life I used to lead. I am finally repulsed by all the things of my past. I never thought I would be blessed enough to get this point. I thought everything would be a huge struggle every day into forever, (Alright I am finally gonna use the one word I hate more than any other) but it truly is a "tender" mercy on the lords part that I don't have any of the life sabotaging tendencies nor the desire to repeat them each and every day.

To be honest I have always liked my church, and deep down have always known it is true. I would like to add that being born into the covenant and being a member of our church from the day I was born gave me my roots. Without my parents raising me with this firm foundation I strongly believe I never would have made it to this point in my life. And now in 3 days I will be in the temple. I don't know if looking back to where I was a year ago anyone, let alone myself would have believed I would ever make it to the temple.

I am so excited that this day is here, and that I finally realized with A LOT of time and hard work YOU really can change! Who knew you don't have to act or be what someone makes you out to feel like, or what you feel labeled as for past mistakes. You are more! Believe it or not you can change, and actually find real lasting happiness. I am glad I finally took that leap of faith and realized that I AM MORE then the sum of my past mistakes, and that even I deserve to be happy and enjoy life.

Temple and Eternal Happiness here I come.

Below is a song that has become a fast favorite of mine. I can't count how many times I felt like this girl in the song, but now I finally got it. Hope you will take a second to really read the words, i even have this song on my blog, hope you will listen to it.

YOU ARE MORE

There's a girl in the corner
With tear stains on her eyes
From the places she's wandered
And the shame she can't hide

She says, "How did I get here?
I'm not who I once was.
And I'm crippled by the fear
That I've fallen too far to love"

But don't you know who you are,
What's been done for you?
Yeah don't you know who you are?

You are more than the choices that you've made,
You are more than the sum of your past mistakes,
You are more than the problems you create,
You've been remade.

Well she tries to believe it
That she's been given new life
But she can't shake the feeling
That it's not true tonight

She knows all the answers
And she's rehearsed all the lines
And so she'll try to do better
But then she's too weak to try

But don't you know who you are?

You are more than the choices that you've made,
You are more than the sum of your past mistakes,
You are more than the problems you create,

You've been remade.

You are more than the choices that you've made,
You are more than the sum of your past mistakes,
You are more than the problems you create,
You've been remade.

'Cause this is not about what you've done,
But what's been done for you.
This is not about where you've been,
But where your brokenness brings you to

This is not about what you feel,
But what He felt to forgive you,
And what He felt to make you loved.

You are more than the choices that you've made,
You are more than the sum of your past mistakes,
You are more than the problems you create,
You've been remade.

You are more than the choices that you've made,
You are more than the sum of your past mistakes,
You are more than the problems you create,
You've been remade.

You've been remade
You've been remade.
You've been remade.
You've been remade.

Kool Klothes For Our Hot Weather

The weather in Sierra Vista is quickly getting warmer. Today got to wear shorts for the first time, which is funny seeing as how 3 weeks ago on Sunday we got a good amount of snow. Weather can be so unpredictable.
Anyways, Kade you look adorable buddy.

Kake Boss In Training

Tonight at relief society we all learned how to decorate a cake with Fondant. It was a blast! Mine was no where near the best cake but I enjoyed myself and enjoyed the wonderful company. And after all was said and done, it turned out pretty cute.
Kade and I with the cake masterpiece
TASTY
My parents dug into it before I even got a chance, it was gone fast. It tasted better than it looked.

Kade's First Package: Kolorado Snow

Today Kade got his very first package in the mail. Aunt Tiffany and the kids sent Kade some Colorado snow. It is an amazing little white tube filled with white powder. You pour a tiny little cap full out and add a small amount of water and it grows 100 times its normal size into snow. It is amazing even for me. Thanks Tiffany and family...
Kade and the rest of us standing around the island watching the snow grow.
this was only 2 little cap fulls
...watching it grow some more...
Aunt Tiff gave Kade a great idea... to pour it out on a cookie sheet and drive his cars through it. Kade kept saying he was just like Pop when he was in New Jersey and had his car buried under the snow and had to dig it out. So Kade would cover his cars with snow and then dig them out.
Thanks Aunt Tiff for loads of fun, and sending a little piece of Colorado our way.
